The best time to travel to Ecuador depends on the places you wish to visit. The coast is best visited from December to April; The Galapagos from January to June; highlands between June and September and the Amazon throughout the whole year.Â

Do I need a health insurance to enter Ecuador?
According to the Organic Law of Human Mobility updated in February 2017, anyone who enters the country of Ecuador as a tourist must have public or private health insurance for the duration of their stay in Ecuador. If the visitor cannot provide proof of such insurance, the immigration agent may deny the visitor entry into the country.
It is a must to have a health insurance.Â
