From your boutique 5-star hotel, Illa Experience, located in Quito city's old town, explore the highlights and attractions the city has to offer. Visit the Equatorial Monument, 25km (16 miles) north of Quito, which marks the exact middle of the World, Latitude 0º and take a day trip to visit Cotopaxi National Park. Cotopaxi (5,943 m) is the highest active volcano in the world. Enjoy wonderful mountain vistas, and local markets.
Then fly to the Galapagos Islands, and board the small and luxurious catamaran, the Seaman Journey, with a maximum occupancy of 16 passengers. Explore the Santa Cruz highlands, looking for wild Galapagos tortoises, as well as lava tubes, sinkholes and craters on this volcanic island. Cruise the islands of Fernandina, Isabela, Santiago, Rabida and Bartolome.
Take dinghy rides, snorkel, swim and kayak and walk in the Galapagos, relax on stunning beaches and onboard the ship. Look out for pelicans, rays, sea lions, Galapagos penguins, marine iguanas and numerous birds included Blue-footed boobies!
