Begin in Andasibe, where the haunting calls of indri lemurs echo through the rainforest and guided walks reveal chameleons, frogs and an incredible variety of endemic wildlife. Continue by road and boat to Akanin'ny Nofy, travelling along the Pangalanes Canal to a beautiful lakeside setting surrounded by lush forest. Explore Palmarium Reserve in search of lemurs and head out after dark for the chance to encounter one of Madagascar’s most unusual inhabitants, the elusive aye-aye.
Journey north along the waterways and coast before crossing to Sainte Marie, a tropical island surrounded by coral reefs and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Spend two days at leisure to swim, snorkel, explore by boat or simply slow down and enjoy island life. From July to September, the surrounding waters also welcome migrating humpback whales, adding another remarkable wildlife experience to the journey.
