Day 1
Antananarivo

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 2
Antananarivo Antsirabe

After breakfast, you will drive to the Lemurs' Park, situated just 25 kilometers away from the bustling capital city.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of lemurs as you witness nine different species freely leaping and playing around. It's a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.

After the Lemurs' Park visit, continue your journey towards Antsirabe, traversing a captivating landscape adorned with majestic mountains and sprawling rice fields. As you arrive in Antsirabe, prepare for a captivating tour of the renowned "Town of Water." The town earned its nickname due to the abundance of thermal springs and the presence of two mesmerizing crater lakes.

You will visit a remarkable workshop where skilled artisans craft intricate miniatures using recycled materials. Witness their creativity and talent firsthand as they transform everyday objects into remarkable works of art.

As the day draws to a close, retreat to your comfortable accommodation for a restful overnight stay, allowing you to rejuvenate and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead.

Day 3
Antsirabe Ranomafana

After breakfast, drive to Ranomafana.

Along the way, make a stop in the charming town of Ambositra, renowned for its exceptional Zafimaniry handicrafts centers, specializing in intricate woodcarvings. Immerse yourself in the rich artistic heritage of the Zafimaniry people as you explore these centers, marveling at the skill and craftsmanship that goes into creating these exquisite wooden masterpieces.

Check into your comfortable hotel in Ranomafana, where you can relax and settle in before embarking on an exciting adventure.

As the sun begins to set, seize the opportunity to embark on a fascinating night walk along the road. This nocturnal exploration aims to spot the elusive nocturnal species of lemurs, such as the tiny mouse lemurs. These nocturnal creatures come to life under the moonlight, and with a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive fossa, known as the Malagasy "Puma." It's an extraordinary experience to observe these unique and elusive animals in their natural habitat.

After the night walk, return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 4
Ranomafana Fianarantsoa

Following breakfast, embark on an unforgettable adventure as you explore the vast expanse of the Ranomafana National Park. Spanning approximately 40,000 hectares, this remarkable park is a treasure trove of biodiversity, offering a habitat for an array of fascinating creatures and plant life.

As you traverse the park's trails, prepare to be enchanted by the sight of lemurs leaping through the treetops, chameleons showcasing their vibrant colors, spiders weaving intricate webs, and frogs hiding amidst the foliage. Marvel at the delicate beauty of various orchid species and discover the richness of medicinal plants that flourish within the park's boundaries. It's worth noting that it was only in 1986 that the golden Bamboo lemurs, a critically endangered species, were discovered here, highlighting the importance of the conservation efforts within the park.

Accompanied by experienced guides, your walk through the park will span approximately 3 to 4 hours. The journey will lead you along well-trodden trails, occasionally navigating steep terrain and venturing off the beaten path into the heart of the forest in search of lemurs. While the trek may be physically demanding at times, requiring endurance and agility, the rewards of witnessing these incredible creatures in their natural habitat are truly worth the effort.

After an eventful morning, enjoy a satisfying lunch before continuing your journey towards Fianarantsoa, known as the capital of the Betsileo tribe. This cultural hub provides a fascinating glimpse into the traditions and way of life of the local community.

Day 5
Fianarantsoa Ranohira

Begin your day with an early departure to Ranohira.

Along the way, make a stop in Ambalavao, known as the commercial center of the southern Betsileo region, renowned for its rich folk traditions, arts, and crafts.

While in Ambalavao, take the opportunity to visit the renowned "Antemoro Paper" factory, a fascinating establishment where delicate, handmade paper adorned with flower decorations is crafted. This unique paper is made from the fibers of the Avoha tree and showcases the skilled craftsmanship of the local artisans. Please note that the factory visit is not available on Sundays.

We continue and make a stop at Anja Park, an extraordinary natural habitat where you can observe families of ring-tailed Katta lemurs in their natural surroundings. Embark on a leisurely two-hour walk along slightly bumpy tracks, immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of the park while encountering these charismatic lemurs.

Afterwards we resume our journey to Ranohira where we overnight.

Day 6
Ranohira

Start your day with an invigorating morning trek through the captivating landscapes of Isalo National Park. Embark on a three to five-hour walk, where you'll have the opportunity to explore the remarkable massif of Isalo, characterized by its rugged, sandstone formations.

As you traverse the park's trails, you'll encounter bumpy tracks at times, adding a sense of adventure to your journey. Be prepared for some parts of the terrain to be a bit steep, offering a thrilling yet manageable challenge. These natural obstacles are all part of the immersive experience that awaits you in Isalo National Park.

Throughout your trek, marvel at the diverse and endemic flora and fauna that call Isalo home. Keep your eyes peeled for lemurs, a beloved symbol of Madagascar's unique wildlife. Additionally, you'll discover a variety of endemic plants, including Pachypodium, aloes, and other fascinating species that have adapted to this arid environment.

Amidst the captivating landscapes, you'll also have the opportunity to cool off and rejuvenate as you encounter natural pools nestled within the park. Take a refreshing swim in these tranquil oases, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Isalo.

Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 7
Ranohira Ifaty

After breakfast, we journey to Tuléar, a captivating destination that awaits your exploration. As you traverse the landscapes, you'll be immersed in the unique beauty of the region, characterized by dry forests, majestic baobabs, and striking Mahafaly tombs adorned with intricate decorations.

Upon reaching Tuléar, embark on a visit to the Arboretum, a haven showcasing a wide array of endemic plant species. Stroll through the vibrant gardens, marveling at the diversity and beauty of the flora that thrives in this region. Discover unique plants that have adapted to the arid climate, showcasing the incredible resilience and adaptation of Madagascar's endemic species.

After the Arboretum visit, it's time to continue your journey towards Ifaty, a charming seaside resort renowned for its tranquil ambiance and protected coral reef. The road leading to Ifaty is well-maintained, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transfer.

Upon arrival in Ifaty, settle into your hotel and allow yourself to unwind in the idyllic coastal setting. Ifaty's coral reef offers a haven for marine life, making it a fantastic destination for snorkeling or diving enthusiasts. Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters, marvel at the vibrant marine ecosystem, and perhaps even spot colorful fish and fascinating corals.

Day 8
Ifaty

Enjoy your day at leisure. Perhaps walk to a nearby fishermans village, or an optional visit of the Reniala reserve with its Baobab Trees, birds etc

Day 9
Ifaty Antananarivo

Relax on the beach then transfer to the airport and flight to the capital city of Madagascar.

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 10
Depart Antananarivo

Depending on the departure time of your flight you may have time to embark on a captivating morning excursion to Ambohimanga, a historical gem located just 21 kilometers north of the city.

This remarkable site holds the significance of being a King's palace and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the rich history and cultural heritage of Ambohimanga as you wander through the palace grounds, taking in the architectural splendor and learning about the fascinating stories embedded within its walls.

Afterwards visit a market with Malagasy handicrafts and, if your flight is late in the evening, you have use of a day-use room in the hotel. Afterwards, transfer to the airport and check-in for departure for the flight home.
