Day 1
Arrive Antananrivo

Arrive in Antananarivo, Madagascar's capital, where you'll be transferred to your hotel for a restful night. Take some time to relax and prepare for your adventure ahead.

Day 2
Antananarivo Maroantsetra

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Maroantsetra, located on the Bay of Antongil along the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the tranquil town of Maroantsetra, known for its charming market and peaceful atmosphere, or simply unwind.

Day 3
Maroantsetra Masoala Peninsula

Today, embark on a boat trip (approx. 2.5 hours) to the remote Masoala Peninsula. Discover the breathtaking landscapes of villages, waterfalls, and pristine beaches. After arriving, enjoy a guided 4-hour walk through the rainforest, where you'll observe how the vegetation changes with the altitude. The area is free of dangerous wildlife, making it perfect for exploration. For those interested in marine life, snorkeling on the coral reefs offers a chance to see the vibrant underwater world.

Day 4-7
Masoala Peninsula Exploration

Spend these days exploring the untouched wilderness of Masoala. On the first morning, take a 3-hour guided hike to spot endemic animals like lemurs (red ruffed lemurs, white-headed lemurs) and bird species such as helmet vangas. In the afternoon, visit a local village to witness the cultivation of coffee, vanilla, and cloves, important livelihoods for the community.

Over the following days, enjoy various activities like guided hikes through the rainforest, swimming in nearby rivers, or relaxing by the stunning beaches. The area is rich in biodiversity, offering you countless opportunities to connect with nature.

Day 8
Masoala – Nosy Mangabe Maroantsetra

After breakfast, take a 2-hour boat ride to Nosy Mangabe, a small island nature reserve in the Bay of Antongil. This island is known for its population of the endangered Aye-Aye lemurs, which were relocated here in the 1960s for conservation. Take a guided botanical tour to learn about the island's flora and fauna. Afterward, return to Maroantsetra for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 9
Maroantsetra Antananarivo

In the morning, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Antananarivo. Once back in the capital, you'll have the rest of the day free to explore at your own pace. You can visit local markets or relax before your international journey.

Depart Antananarivo

Depending on your departure time, you may visit the historic royal site of Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once the home of Madagascar’s powerful Merina kings, it offers incredible views of the surrounding countryside. In the afternoon, explore local markets to purchase Malagasy handicrafts before your transfer to the airport for your flight.
