Tour Description

Our four-day Tamarindo experience is perfect for those in search of relaxation on the pristine beaches of Costa Rica.

The 1994 surf film Endless Summer II brought worldwide attention to the town of Tamarindo, making it a popular destination for surfers. There are three gorgeous golden sand beaches in the vicinity, as well as water activities, a laid-back atmosphere, and a wonderful food scene owing to numerous excellent restaurants. With two full days at your disposal, you may do whatever pleases you—from seeing the local attractions to simply lounging on the beach.

From Tamarindo, your journey will continue onwards to Manuel Antonio National Park with a Tarcoles River crocodile safari through the jungle enroute. Witness some of the local fauna, including the Costa Rican crocodile and sloths.

**note this tour is an add in to our Signature Costa Rica

Day 2
Tamarindo free day

Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the surf, sand and sunshine of Tamarindo. You can choose to take a walk along the soft, golden sandy beach of Playa Tamarindo, enlist in a surfing class or even go horseback riding. It’s up to you. Whatever you choose, you are sure to enjoy all that this tropical destination has to offer.

Day 3
Tamarindo Free Day

Perhaps use this free day in Tamarindo to explore a little further afield? Situated in Las Baulas National Marine Park, Playa Grande is a major nesting site for leatherback turtles and in Tamarindo you might choose to book a half day tour to see the turtles and visit the national park. Alternatively, head to Playa Langosta. There is a jungle walk to the beach and it’s a little bit quieter than Playa Tamarindo, especially if you are an experienced surfer looking for a wave in a quieter spot.

Day 4
Manuel Antonio National Park

From Tamarindo you will journey to Manuel Antonio, stopping enroute at the Tarcoles River. There you will enjoy a jungle crocodile safari and get the chance to get up close to an American Crocodile. In addition to smiling at a Costa Rican apex predator, you may also spot exotic birds, iguanas, lizards, snakes, raccoons, monkeys and anteaters who also call the Tarcoles River their home. Your tour will end in Manuel Antonio, home to Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most popular national parks in Costa Rica.
