Unique stay: Zambezi Trader Houseboat

Your Zambezi adventure begins with a transfer from Victoria Falls to Msuna Island, approximately three hours by road. Alternatively, light aircraft transfers are available to Deka Airfield, followed by a short road transfer to the Msuna Island jetty (please enquire for the supplement)

On arrival, board a tender boat for the short journey to the Zambezi Trader, where the crew will welcome you aboard. Settle into your cabin as the vessel begins cruising down the Zambezi River towards the islands of Elephant Bay. Relax on deck, admire the scenery and enjoy your first African sunset with sundowner drinks.

This evening, enjoy dinner onboard as you settle into the peaceful rhythm of river life.

Wake to the sounds of the African wilderness and enjoy breakfast onboard before heading out on your morning tender boat excursion. Explore the secluded inlets and bays, searching for wildlife and birdlife along the riverbanks, or try your hand at fishing. Optional land-based activities may also be available for a supplement.

Return to the Zambezi Trader for lunch as you cruise upstream towards the Gwayi River estuary.

This afternoon, head out on another tender boat excursion, with opportunities for wildlife viewing, birdwatching or fishing. An optional guided walk may also be available. As the sun begins to set, enjoy sundowners before returning to the vessel. Tonight, weather and water levels permitting, experience a traditional beach barbecue beneath the African stars.

Enjoy another leisurely morning on the Zambezi, beginning with breakfast onboard before setting out on a guided tender boat excursion. Explore the waterways and hidden bays, keeping an eye out for wildlife and the region's abundant birdlife. Fishing enthusiasts can also enjoy another opportunity to cast a line, while an optional guided walk may be available.

Return to the Zambezi Trader for lunch as the vessel cruises upstream towards its next mooring point.

This afternoon, enjoy your final tender boat excursion, taking in the spectacular river scenery and searching for wildlife along the shoreline. Return to the vessel for sundowners and a relaxing dinner onboard, reflecting on the wonderful experiences of your Zambezi adventure.

Wake early as the Zambezi Trader begins its return journey to Msuna Island. Enjoy breakfast onboard while taking in the final views of the river.

Disembark by tender boat, where you will be met for your road transfer to Victoria Falls, a journey of approximately three hours. Your arrangements conclude on arrival in Victoria Falls.
