Embark on a scenic drive to the enchanting Bellavista Cloud Forest Lodge. As you journey through the highway and the picturesque road to Calacalí in the Tandayapa Valley, immerse yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Upon arriving at Bellavista, your friendly guides will warmly welcome you and accompany you to your room, giving you a chance to settle in before enjoying a delightful breakfast. Following breakfast, your guide will provide a short briefing, outlining the day's plans and trail options, ensuring a personalized and engaging experience for our intimate group of no more than 7 hikers. The trail choices will be thoughtfully selected based on group size, weather conditions, and trail conditions, ensuring an easy yet educational hike of 2 or more hours.

After a morning hike, you will return to the lodge for a delicious lunch. After, you'll set out on another captivating trail, allowing you to discover the captivating of this mysterious forest from a different perspective. The Bellavista Cloud Forest Lodge promises a day filled with unforgettable encounters with nature's wonders and an opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the cloud forest.

Today, you have the wonderful opportunity to start your morning with an early bird hike at either 6:30 AM, where your expert guide will focus on the magnificent birdlife surrounding Bellavista Lodge. The rich diversity of birds in this area promises an awe-inspiring experience. Following your rewarding morning hike, we invite you to savor our special Bellavista breakfast, served at 8:00 AM. This hearty meal will fuel you up for the day's adventures ahead.

Later in the day, you'll reconvene with your guide to discuss and plan the day's hike. Every hike offers a fresh and exciting experience, and today, you may choose to explore the adventurous Yumbo Immersion Trail, where you'll have the chance to discover mesmerizing waterfalls amidst the lush surroundings.

After lunch, you'll have the freedom to explore the trails on your own, either embarking on a self-guided exploration or following our helpful trail-map. Alternatively, you can join a guided hike at 3 PM, during which our expert guide will introduce you to more hidden wonders of Bellavista's pristine cloud forest.

If relaxation is on your mind, you can simply unwind and engage in conversations with fellow guests while enjoying the mesmerizing sight of our hummingbird feeders. These feeders attract an impressive array of 10-12 different hummingbird species, offering a captivating display of nature's vibrant beauty. The choice is yours, and we are here to ensure you have a fulfilling and unforgettable experience at Bellavista Cloud Forest Lodge.

This morning you will be met at Bellavista Lodge by your private guide and enroute back to Quito you will stop at the Equatorial Monument, 25km (16 miles) north of Quito, which marks the exact middle of the World, Latitude 0º, where you can stand with a foot on each hemisphere. A certificate for having crossed the Equator is issued to each guest. The surrounding, volcanic scenery is stunning and you can choose to either visit the Ethnographic Museum or the Inti Ñan Museum, both located near the site of the monument.

As part of your tour we will include lunch at a local restaurant. We will also include an Agave experience (subject to availability & closed on Mondays) or a stop at a local coffee farm.

Casa Agave is one of the only places in Ecuador to grow the Agave plant and you will be able to enjoy a tasting of their award winning locally produced mezcal. In the event this is not available you will be able to do a coffee experience where you will learn about the roasting process and sample some of the delicious local brew.

Please note that this transfer is on a private basis with a local English speaking guide. You will be collected from Bellavista and do the tour en route back to Quito. At the end of the tour you will be dropped at your hotel in Quito. We do not recommend that you book flights to depart on this day.
