Antarctic Express Air-Cruise
Tour Description
Short on time, but Antarctica on your bucket list? Fly to Antarctica, wonderland of ice, immense iceberg & stunning landscapes...and plenty of penguins!
Then join this Antarctic cruise and sail around the famous Antarctica landmarks and then fly back to Chile. On the purpose built and well appointed Antarctica cruise ships, The Ocean Nova, Magellan Explorer or the Hebridean Sky, and knowledgeable expert crew will guide you through an Antarctic adventure.Â
Starting in Ushuaia, we sail through the Beagle Channel & head towards Cape Horn, where weather permitting, we can make a rare landing on the island. The seas in this area are notorious and exciting and from here we cross the mythical waters of the Drake Passage, sailing to Antarctica. The first wildlife encounters of your Antarctic cruise can be made along the way, as a variety of seabirds including albatross accompany the cruise ship and whales can be spotted from on deck. Keep your eyes peeled for the first icebergs.
Your Antarctic expedition continues to the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula where we spend a few days exploring the wonderful area by sea & land. Shore excursions let you set foot on the ice like the real Antarctic explorers and come face to face with the local penguins, seals and seabirds. The journey ends on King George Island & your flight awaits to take you to Punta Arenas, Chile.
