Crafted as a sister ship to Magellan Explorer, it features an innovative and elegant design paired with environmental sustainability at heart.
The Magellan Discoverer, set to embark on voyages in the 2026-27 Antarctic season.
Like Magellan Explorer, Magellan Discoverer meets the stringent PC6 ice class specifications and flaunts a similar boutique, yacht-like aesthetic. For Antarctic air-cruises, Magellan Discoverer will welcome up to 76 guests in 40 cabins across three passenger decks. Like Magellan Explorer, Magellan Discoverer complies with the stringent Tier III emission standard and champions environmental responsibility with its hybrid diesel-electric propulsion and heat recovery systems. The vessel features a spacious dining area, versatile meeting rooms, a stylish observation lounge and bar, a well-equipped gym, and an inviting gift shop. The accessible bow draws guests closer to the awe-inspiring waters they sail.
The boutique vessel offers five accommodation categories. All cabins feature private balconies and a king-size bed that can be converted as two twin beds. Each cabin has a wardrobe, individual heating control, a sitting area, and a private bathroom with a shower.
On board, guests can enjoy a panoramic observation lounge and presentation room equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology. The ship also boasts a spacious dining room, a bar, a library, a meeting room, a gym, a sauna with an open view, and a medical clinic.
The top deck features a 360° walking track, providing unparalleled vantage points for viewing wildlife and enjoying the Antarctic landscape. With a fleet of 10 Zodiacs, the vessel is perfectly suited for daily outdoor excursions with fast disembarkment to get all guests on land at once.
