Explore the Far North on this 8-day expedition cruise. A brand-new cruise to discover the countless riches of Svalbard. The scenery is spectacular and the flora and fauna exceptional. Longyearbyen is the northernmost territorial capital on the planet and the starting point of your Arctic voyage.
Set sail eastbound to try to reach the coats of the Nordaust-Svalbard Nature Reserve and the Hinlopen Strait, a real polar desert sheltering many basaltic islets, majestic glaciers and rich marine ecosystem: colonies of sea birds, walruses, polar bears, and Arctic foxes come to feed here.
Perhaps you will be lucky enough to observe these emblematic species as you sail along with the islands of Barentsoya and Edgeoya (also known ad Barent Island and Edge Island respectively), in the Soraust-Svalbard Nature Reserve, which is the largest protected zone in Norway.
During your unforgettable voyage, the ship will sail to latitudes of 80 degrees north and you will discover that unique feeling of having reached the top of the world.
Please note your cruise will be on board L'Austral or Le Boreal depending on departure.
