Wings over Uganda
Tour Overview
Experience the very best of Uganda on this unforgettable 10-day safari that combines classic wildlife viewing with two of Africa’s most extraordinary primate encounters — chimpanzee and mountain gorilla trekking.
Your journey begins in Entebbe on the shores of Lake Victoria before flying north to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most spectacular national park. Here you enjoy exciting game drives across open savannah in search of elephant, giraffe, buffalo, lion and antelope, along with a memorable boat cruise along the Nile River.
Continuing west, travel to the lush rainforests of Kibale National Park, renowned as the primate capital of East Africa, where you trek beneath the forest canopy in search of wild Chimpanzee communities and spend time observing their fascinating behaviour in their natural habitat.
The adventure then leads south to the mist-covered mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half the world’s remaining Mountain Gorilla population. Accompanied by expert trackers, you venture deep into the forest on an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience, culminating in a rare and moving hour spent face-to-face with a gorilla family as they feed, play and interact in the wild.
An optional second gorilla trek offers the chance for an even deeper connection with these magnificent primates before returning to Entebbe, completing an extraordinary safari that blends Uganda’s iconic wildlife, breathtaking landscapes and two of the most powerful wildlife encounters on Earth.
