Discover the Magic of Jaci's Safari Lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve

Madikwe Game Reserve is a wildlife destination in South Africa’s North West Province, around 3.5 hours from Johannesburg. Covering 75,000 hectares, this reserve features diverse landscapes, including savanna, bushveld, and rugged hills. It’s renowned for its rich wildlife, including the Big Five as well as cheetahs, wild dogs, and numerous bird species.

Jaci’s Safari Lodge provides an authentic and relaxing safari retreat, where guests can unwind while encountering some of Africa's most remarkable wildlife in our charming, down-to-earth bushveld sanctuary. The lodge offers two unique viewing spots. Thutlwa Lookout offers views of the reserve from a high vantage point, perfect for watching sunsets and enjoying the landscape. Terrapin Hide, located by a waterhole, provides close-up wildlife viewing as animals come to drink and bathe, offering a peaceful and immersive experience.

Go on thrilling game drives to spot the Big Five and other wildlife. Join guided bush walks to get a closer look at the plants and smaller creatures.

For a truly special night, sleep under the stars in the Naledi Treehouse—a private, elevated hideaway with a bed open to the sky.

Day 1
Johannesburg Jaci's Tree Lodge

Upon your arrival at Johannesburg Airport, you will be greeted and transfered to Jaci's Tree Lodge, located in the picturesque Madikwe Game Reserve. The journey to the lodge takes approximately 3.5 hours, providing you with a scenic drive through the South African countryside. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to enjoy a delightful lunch at the lodge.

In the afternoon, your adventure begins with your first game activity. Join an expert guide on a thrilling game drive to explore the diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes of Madikwe. As the sun sets, you'll return to the lodge for dinner, where you can reflect on the day's experiences.

Day 2
Jaci's Tree Lodge

Begin your day with an exhilarating early morning game drive. Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll explore the vast landscapes of the Madikwe Game Reserve.
After returning to the lodge, you'll be greeted with a hearty breakfast. This is the perfect time to relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings.

The next hours are yours to unwind and enjoy at your leisure. You might choose to indulge in a massage at the lodge’s wellness area. Alternatively, you could visit the Thutlwa Lookout, a serene spot offering panoramic views. Or consider heading to the Terrapin Hide, where you can observe and photograph animals up close at a nearby waterhole.

As the day progresses, you will set out on a second game drive. This late afternoon drive provides another opportunity to encounter wildlife and witness the changing light of the savannah. After your drive, return to the lodge for dinner, where you will enjoy a delicious meal.

Day 3
Jaci's Tree Lodge Johannesburg

On your final morning, enjoy a last game activity—perhaps a last game drive or another exciting experience, depending on your departure time. This is your last chance to appreciate the beauty and wildlife of Madikwe. Following breakfast, you will be transferred back to Johannesburg Airport, concluding your memorable safari experience at Jaci's Tree Lodge.
