Start your day at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, where you can take in the views and pose with the iconic Nelson Mandela statue. Pass by Church Square and journey through Johannesburg’s outskirts to Soweto, a township rich in history. Climb the Oppenheimer Tower, sample local flavors at a Kliptown market, and visit Walter Sisulu Square, where the Freedom Charter was signed.
