Day 1
Windhoek

On arrival, pick up your car. You will have a detailed briefing about your car and other essential information to help you on your way.

Drive to your Windhoek Hotel. If you have time, explore Windhoek at your leisure.

Day 2
Kalahari - 174 miles (280 km)

Today depart on a journey into the world's largest sand mass, the Kalahari Desert, often referred to by the bushmen as the "Soul of the World."

Take in the breathtaking sight of its deep red dunes and vast grass plains dotted with acacias and shrubs, providing a sanctuary for uniquely adapted wildlife. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon or choose to embark on an unforgettable sundowner drive for an exceptional experience.

Day 3-4
Fish River Canyon - 286 miles (460 km)

After leaving the Kalahari dunes behind, your journey leads you through sparse vegetation, isolated hills, and vast rocky plains until you reach the Quiver Tree Forest, home to more than 250 of these native aloes in one concentrated area. Next, venture to the Fish River Canyon, where you'll witness the stunning beauty of adapted wildlife and plant life.

The next day, explore the Fish River Canyon, boasting a length of 170km and an average depth of 550m, ranking as the second largest canyon globally. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure at the lodge or engage in optional activities offered there.

Day 5
Lüderitz - 261 miles (420 km)

Travelling past the Naute Dam, home to the Naute Kristal Distillery—a must-visit for Gin enthusiasts. Proceed towards the edge of the Namibian escarpment, passing through the Succulent Karoo, until you reach the charming coastal town of Lüderitz.

Along the way, make a stop at Garub to catch a glimpse of the extraordinary Namib Desert Horses, which have adapted to survive in this harsh environment. Your accommodation offers a spectacular view overlooking the vast Atlantic Ocean.

Day 6
Southern Namib - 155 miles (250 km)

Prior to venturing into the southern Namib Desert, a detour to Kolmanskop, near Lüderitz, offers a captivating journey back in time to a once-thriving diamond town that thrived from 1908 to 1950. This historical site is a must-visit for those intrigued by the remnants of its bustling past.

Continuing eastward, your next destination is nestled in a serene desert setting just outside the quaint town of Aus.

Day 7-8
Namib Desert - 342 miles (550 km)

This morning, your journey takes you through expansive plains and alongside breathtaking mountain ranges as you enter the Namib Desert, renowned as the oldest desert globally. Your lodge is conveniently located near Sesriem, serving as the gateway to two of Namibia's most iconic attractions: Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon.

At sunrise, embark on a trip to Sossusvlei, home to the world's highest dunes. Explore Dead Vlei, a mesmerizing white clay pan surrounded by towering dunes and adorned with ancient Camelthorn trees. On your return journey, make a stop at Sesriem Canyon. The remainder of the day can be spent leisurely or participating in an optional afternoon nature drive.

Day 9
Namib Desert - 50 miles (80 km)

After enjoying breakfast amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Namib Desert, journey towards your next lodge nestled at the base of petrified dunes. This location offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the wonders of the Namib Desert through scenic nature drives and memorable sundowner experiences.

Alternatively, you can opt to unwind beside the lodge pools and indulge in relaxation.

Day 10-11
Swakopmund - 186 miles (300 km)

Today's journey takes you through the Namib Naukluft Park to Swakopmund, a serene coastal town nestled between the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean. Swakopmund is renowned for its unique German architecture and atmosphere.

During your scenic drive, visit the Welwitschia Plains and the strikingly named Moon Landscape, both captivating attractions along the route. In Swakopmund, you'll have the opportunity to engage in various adventurous activities.
