Today, thousands of bathers visit each year, seeking the mineral-rich waters of these hyper-thermal waterfalls, which originate from the winter rainfalls in Jordan's highland plains.

The water, as it flows through the valley, is heated to remarkable temperatures of up to 63° Celsius (145° Fahrenheit) by the underground lava fissures, creating a unique and invigorating experience for those who immerse themselves in its embrace. The water eventually empties into the Zarqa River, leaving a trail of natural beauty and rejuvenation in its wake.

Ma'in Hot Spring Dead Sea

After breakfast, visit the sacred site of Bethany, where John the Baptist had his settlement and Jesus was baptized.

Bethany Beyond the Jordan is located on the eastern bank of the Jordan River, in Jordan.
It holds great religious significance and is being prepared to welcome pilgrims and visitors.

From there, transfer to the enchanting Dead Sea for check-in at your hotel. Enjoy the unique experience of floating effortlessly in mineral-rich waters.

Day 19
Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is renowned today and throughout history for its healing properties due to the high mineral content of the water. Also, its high salinity enables you to float comfortably on the surface of the water.

The Mujib Biosphere Reserve is the lowest nature reserve in the world, with a spectacular array of scenery near the east coast of the Dead Sea, and home to the spectacular gorge which enters the Dead Sea at 410m below sea level.

The Reserve extends to the Karak and Madaba mountains to the north and south, reaching 900 metres above sea level in some places. This 1,300m variation in elevation, combined with the valley's year- round water flow from seven tributaries, means that Wadi Mujib enjoys a magnificent bio-diversity that is still being explored and documented today.
Over 300 species of plants, 10 species of carnivores and numerous species of permanent and migratory birds have been recorded. Some of the remote mountain and valley areas are difficult to reach, and thus offer safe havens for rare species of cats, goats and other mountain animals. Mujib's sandstone cliffs are an ideal habitat for one of the most beautiful mountain goats in the world, the horned Ibex.


The options are:
Siq trail 2-3 hours /self-guided - typically, open from the 1st of April until the 31st of October depending on suitable weather conditions.

The trail starts at the Adventures Center near the Mujib Bridge, where you will take the cantilevered walkway over the dam and follow the course of the river between towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. This is an ideal walk to take slowly and enjoy the cool water and shade, especially in the heat of the summer.

Ibex trail /3-4 hours/ Guided : typically, open from the 31 March until the first of November depending on suitable weather conditions. This trail begins at the Adventures Center and follows the Dead Sea Highway before ascending into the Reserve.

Day 20
Dead Sea Amman

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport in time for your flight.
