Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Lima

Welcome to Lima, the capital of Peru. It is a city that is rich in history and culinary delights. You will be met by your local guide and enjoy a VIP transfer on arrival to the boutique Hotel B, Lima's only Relais & Châteaux hotel. It is located in the bohemian suburb of Barranco, home to some of the best restaurants in the city including the top rated Central. The hotel, a restored Belle Époque mansion was first built in 1914 as a summer home for a wealthy Limeño family.

Day 2
Half Day Tour in Lima

Enjoy a VIP private tour to visit the Larco Herrera Museum, the most visited in the city and see a selection of the exhibits with your guide. The museum is home to over 45,000 artifacts that exhibit the rich history of Peru.

Then enjoy a live culinary demonstration, where expert chefs will teach you how to prepare Peru’s iconic dishes: ceviche and pisco sour, which you’ll be able to enjoy.

Head into the UNESCO listed historical centre, Explore the San Francisco Monastery and it’s underground Catacombs and see Casa de Aliaga, a colonial family owned mansion.

Day 3
Lima Sacred Valley of the Incas

Today you’ll be transferred back to the airport for your flight over the Andes.

Arrive in Cusco, located at 3,400 metres altitude. Descend to around 2,700m above sea level in the Sacred Valley, a drive of around 90 minutes to help with acclimatisation. Spend the next 2 nights here at the luxurious Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba and follow in the footsteps of the Inca. VIP transfers are included throughout your time in Cusco and the Sacred Valley with premium van transport that includes wi-fi and power supply. Snacks and drinks are provided.

Day 4
Sacred Valley

Take a full day tour that serves as a wonderful introduction to the history of the Incan empire, prior to your visit to Machu Picchu. Explore the towering fortress ruins of Ollantaytambo and the ruins of Pisac, which served as an Inca neighbourhood. The town is also home to an excellent craft market and if time permits you will have time to find some souvenirs and barter with the friendly locals. Lunch today is at the premium restaurant Las Manos, which serves modern and contemporary Peruvian cuisine.

Day 5
Sacred Valley Machu Picchu

Today will be one of the highlights of your trip. You will travel onboard the First Class Train to Aguas Calientes, the small town located at the base of Machu Picchu. The first class carriage has a dining car and lounge/bar, VIP boarding and live music/entertainment onboard.

Stay at the 5* Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo, just a short walk from the train station. You’ll be met by an expert guide here who will take you up to the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu, a 15th century Inca site and the crown jewel of an trip to Peru. No cars are allowed here, so you will travel by shuttle bus. Enjoy a guided tour of the ruins and your guide.

Note: The First Class Train runs from Monday to Saturday (resting on Sundays).

Day 6
Machu Picchu Cusco

This morning you will travel back to the Sacred Valley via train and be met by your local guide. Enjoy a premium BBQ lunch and Peruvian Paso horse show. Explore Maras salt ponds, that are believed to pre-date the Inca period. Continue to Chinchero, a small village that is famous for Andean textiles. You will work with a local weaver to create a woven memento to take home with you. Transfer to your hotel in Cusco. Stay at Inkaterra La Casona, a 16th Century manor house stands on the training grounds for an elite army of Incas and had Spanish Conquistador Diego de Almagro and ‘Libertador’ Simón Bolívar among its illustrious guests.

Day 7
Cusco Walking Tour

Enjoy a private walking tour of the colonial city of Cusco, wander through charming cobblestoned streets and visit the baroque cathedral and the Incan temple of the sun Korikancha. You’ll have some time to explore local shops or the market and practice your bartering skills. If you would like any speciality items then your guide can recommend the best place to purchase these.

Day 8
Cusco

Spend another day exploring Cusco. Visit the revered temple of Sacsayhuaman, located just out of the city and then head to the bohemian suburb of San Blas and visit the workshop of Abraham Aller who specializes in both sculpture and painting, drawing inspiration from the Colonial and Baroque styles. Meet the artist, learn about his journey and creative process, and try your hand at crafting your own piece under his expert guidance—a unique hands-on experience with one of Cusco’s most celebrated artisans! End your tour with an Andean BBQ lunch, served with stunning views of Cusco as your backdrop.

Day 9
Depart Cusco

Today you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport for travel to your onward destination. Bid farewell to your guide and to Peru after an amazing adventure.
