The is some free time to relax or stroll Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, enjoy a drink at a local cafe or bar, or a spot of shopping. 

From Rio, there is so much more to explore further afield in Brazil, the worlds largest wetlands area, the Pantanal, the tropical beaches of Ilha Grande and Paraty, or the mighty Iguazu Falls.

Day 2
Rio de Janeiro: Half Day Santa Teresa

Today take a half day Santa Teresa tour

Enjoy discovering the neighborhood of Santa Teresa on this discovery tour from Rio de Janeiro! Get a feel for how locals get around the huge city of Rio as you take the subway downtown with your local guide. Wander through the financial district and visit Carioca Square, once the main source of drinking water in Rio. Then, walk to the neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
Discover the charm and beauty of Santa Teresa as you wander by foot through the winding, narrow cobblestone streets. Once home to upper-class residents, Santa Teresa is now an artistic hotspot. Admire beautiful architecture learn about the history of the area as you make your way around the neighborhood with your guide. Located on a high hill overlooking Rio, you'll have a perfect view of the city and bay below.

As you make your way back down the hill, drop by Carmelitas’ Convent and walk down the famous Selarón Staircase, created by Chilean-born artist Jorge Selarón

Rio de Janeiro: Corcovado & Sugarloaf with lunch

Corcovado & Sugarloaf with lunch

With an early start, today you will join a city tour exclusively designed for our guests for taking in all of Rio’s famous sights, including Corcovado, to get up close to the Christ the Redeemer statue. The next stop is Sugar Loaf Mountain, where you will board a cable car to the top of Urca Hill, with spectacular views of Rio’s famous beaches, bays, hills, and the city. Enjoy a traditional Brazilian BBQ for lunch and continue exploring more of the city including to Saint Benedict Monastery, Praça Maua, Duque de Caxias Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Pass by Flamengo and Botafogo beaches on your way back to your hotel.
Lunch and all entrance fees (for Corcovado & Sugarloaf) are included.

Day 4
Rio de Janeiro Depart

Depart any time. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight
