Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in El Calafate

You will arrive in the quaint tourist town of El Calafate, the gateway to Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. As you wander the main street, Avenida del Libertador, you will discover souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes, chocolate and ice cream shops. At the latter, be sure to try some ice cream made using the Calafate berry from which the town gets its name. Today is an arrival day, and you are free to explore at your leisure.

Day 2
Estancia Visit and Board Overnight Cruise

No trip to Argentina is complete without a visit to an Estancia. These parcels of land, which are similar to a ranch or a farm are significant to the country’s history and today’s journey to Estancia Nibepo Aike allows you to truly experience the authentic lifestyle of the gauchos who live and work on this land. Initially called Estancia Jeronima, Nibepo Aike covers more than 12,000 hectares at the foot of the Patagonian Andes and is primarily a Hereford cattle ranch. You will enjoy a short horse ride before watching a demonstration of the gaucho’s horse handling skills and see the shearers at work in the shearing sheds. You can also milk the cows. To finish your day you will enjoy an asado, a typical Patagonian barbeque lunch.

You'll be picked up from your hotel in El Calafate and driven to the port for your journey aboard the Santa Cruz. Departing at 6:00 p.m. from Puerto La Soledad, Bahía Tranquila (Paraje Punta Bandera), the cruise sets sail towards the serene Seno Mayo. As the sun sets, guests can enjoy a delicious dinner while admiring the breathtaking scenery. The evening concludes in the peaceful Bahía Toro, where you can unwind in your ensuite cabin for a restful overnight stay — an ideal start to the adventures ahead.

Day 3
Spirit of the Glaciers Cruise

The day starts with a hearty breakfast, preparing guests for an exciting adventure. The journey begins with a landing to explore the breathtaking Andean-Patagonian forest, where a scenic hike leads to a picturesque waterfall, offering opportunities to appreciate the region’s diverse flora.

Next, the voyage continues toward the Canal de los Témpanos, en route to the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon arrival, guests disembark at Puerto Perito Moreno for a leisurely walk along designated pathways, providing stunning glacier views.

After exploring, guests reboard the vessel for a scenic cruise along the north face of Perito Moreno Glacier, admiring its grandeur up close. A delicious lunch is served onboard as the ship navigates through Los Témpanos Channel, returning to Puerto La Soledad, Bahía Tranquila (Paraje Punta Bandera).
