Day 1
Arrive in Punta Arenas Awasi Patagonia Lodge

Upon arrival at Punta Arenas airport, you will be greeted and transferred to the Awasi Patagonia Lodge, which is nestled within the magnificent Torres del Paine National Park. The transfer is by minibus and takes approximately 5 hours, during which you will witness the vastness of the Patagonia landscape, covering over 200 kilometers (124 miles) of paved road from Punta Arenas to Llanuras de Diana. From there, you will travel the remaining 190 kilometers (118 miles) to the national park mainly on dirt roads. After settling in at the comfortable Awasi Patagonia Lodge, which boasts a stunning location on the shores of Lago Pehoe and breathtaking views of the Paine mountains, you will receive a briefing on the excursion options for the following day in the evening.

*Awasi Patagonia Lodge includes most activities but does have a limited number of “extra cost” activities, which will be at the client’s own cost and paid locally.

Day 2
Awasi Patagonia

During your stay at Awasi Patagonia, you will have the opportunity to explore the breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife of Torres del Paine National Park through a variety of full and half day excursions. Our expert guides will assist you in choosing the right activities based on your interests and energy levels. Awasi Patagonia Lodge offers a range of excursions including walks, hikes, climbs, horseback riding, and vehicle tours. Difficulty levels vary from easy to very challenging, with excursions suitable for children as well. All necessary equipment is provided, and each excursion is limited to a maximum of eight guests per guide, ensuring a personalized experience.

Embark on an invigorating morning hike up the Windy Peaks slope with your personal guide, and be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Torres del Paine National Park. Weather permitting, you can expect to see several high peaks, including Cerro Balmaceda, Paine Grande, Los Cuernos, and Almirante Nieto. As you trek south, along different peaks, take in the stunning vistas before descending at Quebrada de la Feria, an old path once used by cattle ranchers.

In the afternoon, choose a horseback riding excursion to Cleopatra's Needles. Named after Lady Florence Dixie, the first tourist to visit the area, this excursion covers part of the same ground traveled by her in 1878. This unique ride offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the experiences of such a daring venture and appreciate the beauty of the Patagonian landscape from a new perspective.

Day 3
Awasi Patagonia

Start your day early with a thrilling photo-safari alongside your personal guide, and be amazed by the stunning views of Torres del Paine. Discover the main points of interest in the national park, admire the local fauna, and take in the breathtaking vistas of the various geological formations. With expert guidance from the lodge's experienced guides, you'll spot magnificent birds and other wildlife, providing you with an opportunity to capture the remarkable species of the park with both your eyes and camera.

After a scrumptious lunch, head out on the Stone Leaves trek, which will take you to the fossilized remains of a forest. Here, you'll observe and appreciate petrified leaves and tree trunks that date back over 25 million years. This trek offers you a chance to step into the shoes of a paleontologist for a day, recognizing plants through their leaves amidst the mountainous landscape of Sierra Baguales in the “La Cumbre-Baguales Geological and Paleontological Park.”

Day 4
Depart in Awasi Patagonia Punta Arenas

Depart in the morning from Awasi Patagonia Hotel with a transfer to Punta Arenas, which takes approximately five hours. This will give you time to connect with your ongoing flight from Punta Arenas airport, your Patagonia Cruise, or your hotel located in downtown Punta Arenas.

Trip extensions to El Calafate or Antarctica can also be arranged.

Please note that the hotel is closed during the months of May to August.
