Your day is at leisure, consider heading to the Sky Tower for breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its stunning harbors. Wander around Viaduct Harbour, where you can find trendy cafes and restaurants nestled along the waterfront. Don’t miss the Auckland Art Gallery, showcasing both local and international artworks.

Today, you’ll embark on a delightful wine tour on Waiheke Island. Just a short ferry ride from Auckland, Waiheke is renowned for its picturesque vineyards and stunning coastal views. You’ll pick up your rental car in the morning. Leaving Auckland behind, you’ll drive south towards Rotorua, a geothermal wonderland. Along the way, make a stop at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Step into the darkness of these limestone caves and marvel at the thousands of glowworms illuminating the underground scenery like stars in the night sky. It’s a magical experience that’s sure to leave you in awe. After exploring Waitomo, continue your journey to Rotorua, known for its bubbling mud pools and geysers.

For panoramic views of Wellington, ride the historic Cable Car to the Botanic Garden, where you can wander through themed gardens and enjoy the serenity of nature amidst the cityscape.

Fly from Wellington to Christchurch, the largest city in the South Island. Christchurch is known for its English heritage and expansive parks and gardens. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Visit the Canterbury Museum to learn about the region’s natural and cultural history, or take a leisurely punting tour on the Avon River, gliding past weeping willows and charming bridges.
