Beginning in Cape Town, enjoy a relaxing days at sea before reaching the remote islands of Tristan da Cunha. Land by Zodiac to explore this volcanic outpost, home to just 250 residents, and visit nearby Nightingale Island, a pristine wildlife haven and breeding ground for over one million seabirds.
Continue south to South Georgia, the legendary “Cold Serengeti.” Zodiac landings bring you close to vast colonies of king penguins, battling elephant seals, and fur seals crowding the beaches. Step ashore at Grytviken to honour Sir Ernest Shackleton and the heroic age of exploration.
The journey then leads to the Antarctic Peninsula, where you’ll set foot on the frozen continent near Paradise Bay, cruise among towering icebergs at Neko Harbor, and visit penguin colonies on Petermann Island. Sail the spectacular Lemaire Channel, framed by dramatic mountain walls.
Explore the South Shetland Islands, navigating into the volcanic caldera of Deception Island and visiting historic Elephant Island, before concluding your adventure in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city—having followed one of the planet’s most extraordinary expedition routes from Africa to the edge of the Antarctic.
