Tour Description

Enjoy the wonders of Antarctica on this in depth voyage. We sail the infamous Drake Passage, explore the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctica Peninsula...and we also head further south in an attempt to cross the Antarctic Circle at 66°33’S

Along the way, we will cruise through stunning narrow channels, maneuver through ice-filled bays,  and hop into zodiacs to get closer to  wildlife. Visit penguin colonies and watch quietly as they go about their daily lives, look out for whales, seals and an array of bird life. Take walks in Antarctica, participate in "Citizen Science" -  where you help us with real-world scientific research, or be assisted in your photography with an onboard coach. There will also be opportunities for camping or kayaking for those that would like some extra adventure!

The Seaventure will take you to Antarctica in comfort, all outside-facing staterooms (some with balconies),  a heated salt-water swimming pool and only 149 passengers onboard.

Viva's Best Bits...

"If you are keen on science and the environment, join in activities with the citizen science coordinator onboard to participate in research in Antarctica!" Tara, Team Viva

Head farther south along the Antarctic peninsula, encounter more sea ice and stunning scenery as we attempt to cross 66°33’S, the Antarctic Circle!

Try a unique place to camp - on the ice in Antarctica!

Heading north, we’ll explore any number of picturesque bays and famed harbors, maneuvering through majestic channels as we travel the wildlife-rich waters. We leave this magical place and make our way north, once again crossing the legendary Drake Passage. We have one last hurrah as we celebrate the conclusion of our expedition with a special slideshow and a final meal together.
