Day 1
Arrive in Maun

Welcome to Botswana!

Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred by road to the lodge outside Maun on the banks of the Boteti River. Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, is a lively frontier town surrounded by natural beauty.

Spend the afternoon unwinding after your travels—enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool, spot birdlife from the riverside deck, or sip a sundowner as the African sun sets. Dinner is served at the lodge’s open-air restaurant, offering a taste of local flavours.

Day 2
Maun Khwai Concession

Start the day with a guided walk through Chanoga Village, where we’ll gain insight into the everyday lives and traditions of local Batswana families. After breakfast at the lodge, we head northeast to the Khwai Concession—an untouched community-managed wilderness bordering Moremi Game Reserve. With a scenic picnic lunch along the way, this journey takes us deeper into Botswana’s pristine ecosystems.

Arrive at our exclusive tented camp nestled beneath the trees, with wildlife often wandering nearby. Tonight, enjoy dinner under the stars with the sounds of the bush all around.

Day 3
Moremi Game Reserve

Prepare for an unforgettable safari experience as we explore the famed Moremi Game Reserve, known for its remarkable concentration of wildlife and diverse habitats. After breakfast, head out on a full-day game drive through mopane forests, floodplains, and open grasslands. Keep your camera ready for sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, and countless birds.

We stop for a scenic bush brunch before continuing our exploration. Return to camp in the late afternoon to unwind before dinner.

Day 4
Khwai Concession

Today is a more relaxed pace, offering an intimate look at the Khwai ecosystem. After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely game drive through the concession, with chances to spot predators, antelope, and rich birdlife. After lunch back at camp, the afternoon is yours—relax in your tent, sit by the river, or birdwatch from the deck. The peaceful rhythm of the bush provides the perfect backdrop for rest and reflection. Dinner is served around the fire.

Day 5
Khwai Okavango Delta

After an early breakfast, you’ll transfer to a nearby airstrip for a scenic charter flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta. From above, watch how rivers fan out into a lush maze of channels, islands, and lagoons.
Land at a remote delta lodge surrounded by unspoiled wilderness. After lunch, enjoy a sunset boat cruise—glide through papyrus-lined waterways with hippos grunting nearby and the sky painted in golden hues.

Day 6
Okavango Delta

Today offers a deep dive into the serenity and magic of the Okavango. After breakfast, set off on a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) excursion, silently navigating narrow channels and crystal-clear pools. The local poler will interpret the delta’s rich ecosystem as we pass water lilies, reeds, and perhaps spot a sitatunga antelope.

A picnic lunch is enjoyed on one of the islands. In the afternoon, return to the lodge to relax, swim, or simply soak up your surroundings before dinner.

Day 7
Okavango Delta

Enjoy a slow morning and choose how you’d like to spend your day. For the adventurous, a helicopter flight over the delta is available (own expense), offering a bird’s-eye view of one of the world’s most beautiful and unique landscapes. Alternatively, take part in guided bush walks or simply relax at the lodge with a book and binoculars in hand. Meals are served on the deck overlooking the water, where elephants and red lechwe often roam nearby.

Day 8
Okavango Delta Central Kalahari

After breakfast, say goodbye to the lush waterways as we begin our journey to the stark beauty of the Central Kalahari. This drive reveals a dramatic shift in landscapes—from wetlands to dry savannahs and semi-desert. Enjoy a packed lunch en route and arrive in the late afternoon at a remote tented camp nestled among rocky outcrops and endless open skies. Enjoy a peaceful evening in the heart of one of Africa’s largest wilderness areas.

Day 9
Central Kalahari

Wake early for a captivating cultural experience with local San Bushmen. We’ll learn about their ancient way of life, including tracking skills, medicinal plants, and survival techniques passed down for generations. Return to camp for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah, where we might see oryx, jackals, springbok, and elusive predators. The day ends with dinner and stargazing beneath the brilliant night sky.

Day 10
Central Kalahari Maun

After breakfast, we journey back to Maun through the open Kalahari landscapes. Lunch will be at your own expense en route. We’ll arrive in Maun in the late afternoon. For those with onward travel, transfers can be arranged. An optional post-night stay at Drifters Maun Lodge can also be added for a final evening of rest before your journey home.
