Day 1
Arrive Lima

On arrival in to Lima you will be met & transferred to your hotel.

Lima, the capital of Peru, sits on the country's arid Pacific coast. Founded in 1535, its colonial centre is well preserved, but today Lima is a bustling metropolis and one of South America’s largest cities. The city is home to the various museums including the Museo Larco that houses a collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museo de la Nación, tracing the history of Peru’s ancient civilizations. Lima is known as the “gastronomical capital of the Americas”, encompassing specialties from ceviche and traditional coastal cooking to refined global fare. It even boasts several of the top restaurants in the world.

Day 2
Lima Nazca

Transfer to the bus station. Travel by luxury bus from Lima to Nazca. This service departs early in the morning and the total travel time is approx. 7.5 - 8 hours. On arrival into Nazca, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. *please note bus departure time is approx 5:15am

Nazca is located in the Ica region of Peru, on the southern coast, one of the most arid regions in the world. The name is derived from the Nazca culture that flourished in the area between 100 and 800 AD and was responsible for the Nazca Lines, the ceremonial city of Cahuachi and for constructing an impressive system of underground aqueducts (Puquios) that still function to this day.

Nazca Archelogical tour
You will be collected from your hotel and visit the following places: The Aqueducts of Cantalloc, located 4 kms from Nazca city. These aqueducts are defined as an underground system of irrigation that dates back to approx. 300 AD. The underground channels were built of rivers stones and flat stones called “Laja” which were used to cover the underground channels as a roof. They are still used today to irrigate the thirsty Nazca lands.

Next stop will be another geoglyph located 3kms from Nazca, The Paredones Ruins. This was once an Inca Administrative Center built in the 15th centuy for specific purposes such as exercising administrative control and being the link between the Coast and the Highlands.

Last stop will be the “Antonini Museum” , to learn about the evolution of the Nazca culture and appreciate a beautiful collection of pottery, painted textiles, mummies, trophy head and other remains of Nazca culture ( 200 BC – 600 AC ). Tour duration is approx. 3.5 hours.

Day 3
Nazca Lines Overflight Paracas

Nazca overflight - 30 Minutes
The Nazca culture is famous for its line drawings etched into the desert floor. These Nazca Lines are a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert, naturally preserved due to their isolation and the dry, windless and stable climate of the plateau. The lines were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 and the geometric shapes, some over 200 metres across, are best viewed from a higher elevation. The designs include a monkey, spider, condor, hummingbird, hands and a tree. A flight over the Nazca Lines is the best way to view these intriguing geoglyphs. Includes Airport taxes and transfers.

You will be collected from your hotel to transfer to the bus station for your onward journey from Nazca. Travel by luxury bus from Nazca to Paracas. This service departs in the afternoon. Total travel time is approx. 3.5 hours. On arrival at Paracas bus station, transfer to your hotel.

Paracas meaning ''sand rain'' in Quechua, is a small port town and beach resort on the southern coast of Peru, a few hours south of Lima. The cliffs that fringe the beaches teem with birds, ranging from guano birds to Humboldt penguins. Paracas is the access point for tours to Islas Ballestas and to Paracas National Reserve, where there are huge colonies of seabirds as well as sea lions.

Day 4
Paracas: Ballestas Island Cruise

Ballestas Island Cruise
You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the small port of Paracas to board the boat that will cruise around the Ballestas Islands. See the remarkable marine mammals and birdlife the islands are famous for. From the boat, you can see the incredible ancient etchings in the coastal cliffs including the mysterious three pronged Candelabra of the Andes. This 180 metre tall geoglyph is carved into the side of the hill alongside Paracas Bay. On completion of the cruise, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Please note this is a small group tour.

Half Day Paracas National Reserve Tour
You will be collected from your hotel for the National Reserve Tour. We will visit Playa Roja (red beach) and Yumaque beach, two places where you can enjoy the beautiful desert landscape and the surrounding nature. Another place we will visit is the Interpretation Centre of the Paracas National Reserve, where there are photos of the fauna and flora of the reserve are on display. Continuing onto 'La Aguada' which is a captivating place that offers you the opportunity to see flamingos through a viewfinder, before our final stop at 'El Obelisco de la Independencia', a symbol of the 150th Anniversary of Peruvian Independence. After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel. Approx duration is 2.5hrs.

Day 5
Paracas Lima

You will be collected from your hotel to transfer to the bus station for your onward journey from Paracas.

Travel by luxury bus from Paracas to Lima. This service departs in the afternoon. Total travel time is approx. 4.5 hours. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Lima.

Overnight in Lima

Day 6
Depart Lima

You will be collected from your hotel at the appropriate time and transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
