Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Santiago Valparaiso

On arrival at the airport in Santiago, Chileā€™s capital, you will be collected and transferred through to Valparaiso for some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Valparaiso is one of Chile's largest coastal cities and was once a pivotal port in South America until the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914. Traces of European emigration history can be found throughout its streets and neighborhoods. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Valparaiso is also known as the cultural capital of Chile. Its charming and picturesque colorful houses cling to the hills that envelop the city, creating a natural amphitheater where the historic port life seamlessly blends with the cultural scene atop the hills.

Day 2
Valparaiso

Valparaiso has reinvented itself, listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO; where tourism is now booming. New hotels, restaurants, art workshops, and colorful murals have restored its vitality and colors. It has become the South American capital of graffiti, a unique experience to witness. Because of Valparaisoā€™s unique geography, the houses and buildings are built climbing up and hanging from the hills and surrounding creeks. This labyrinthine verticality creates thousands of hideouts, and we can find more than one surprise behind every corner. In our half-day tour by foot, we will visit the surroundings of Echaurren Square, the foundation origins of the Port, the old banking area, and ConcepciĆ³n and Alegre Hills, which gather most of the handicraft and artist workshops. We will get there by using the famous funiculars, which are still in operation. Completing the tour by having a tasty lunch (optional and at an additional cost) before you return back to your hotel.
