Ushuaia: End of the World
Tour Description
Explore the end of world on a 3 day tour of Ushuaia.
Laying claim to being the most southerly city in the world, the city of Ushuaia is located below the 54th parallel south latitude. You will find Ushuaia on the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, shared by both Argentina and Chile - although Ushuaia is located on the lands belonging to Argentina.  Ushuaia is surrounded by beautiful scenery: to the north, the Martial mountains, which are a component of the enormous Andes range; to the south, the well known Beagle Channel. Over your 3 day adventure, take a tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park, exploring Ensenada Bay, Roca Lake and Lapataia Bay and enjoy some short walks by the lake, plus there is free time to visit the maritime museum and jail, and perhaps post a postcard from the end of the world!
This Ushuaia: End of the World extension programme is the perfect add on to your Argentina or Patagonia tour, or before you take a cruise to Antarctica. In fact, it is only another approx. 1,100 kilometers (680 mi) to Antarctica from here!
Viva's Best Bits...
Laying claim to being the most southerly city in the world, Ushuaia is the most common gateway for an expedition cruise to Antarctica - certainly one for the bucket list!
Witness dramatic scenery with waterfalls, mountains, glaciers and lakes, including parts of Fagnano and Roca Lakes, also Lapataia Bay.
There is free time to explore at your leisure, visit the maritime museum and jail, take a photo at the end of the world sign, send a postcard home, or sample the local King crab which Ushuaia is known for.
