From Cancun you can explore some of the best white sandy beaches and turquoise waters Mexico has to offer.

Take a tour to explore a partial underwater cenote at Rio Secreto near Playa del Carmen. Then spend time simply relaxing and enjoying the beach at the end of your Mexican adventure. 

This is an add on extension programme to our Signature Mexico, and Mexico in depth tours so you can have some beach time. We offer select accommodation in Cancun or Playa del Carmen.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival Cancun

Arrival into Cancun and settle into your accommodation.

Considered Mexico’s most popular Caribbean beachside resort destination, Cancun was once nothing more than a fishing village. Today you will be welcomed by a city of towering resort hotels that cater to your every whim that straddle the white sandy shores beside shopping malls, restaurants and nightclubs. Enjoy exploring at your leisure after your arrival.

Day 2
Rio Secreto tour Cancun

Journey underground into the Rio Secreto Cenote within Secreto Reserve. You will hike through the forests of the Xibalba (Mayan Underworld) to reach one of fifteen entrances into a pristine, semi-sunken cave system. There, you will be treated to a sound and light show in the Salón de la Paz, or Room of Peace, before you can take the opportunity to don a wetsuit and explore the caves from within the water.

Day 3
Cancun free day

Today is a free day to explore Cancun and relax on the white sandy beaches. Perhaps visit the nearby archaeological sites of Chichen Itza or Tulum. Cancun has a number of key zones to explore including its hotel zone and downtown. The hotel zone is a virtual Disneyland while downtown has everything from small stores to street food and Mexican wrestling. There are also plenty of white sandy beaches, from the main beach Playa Delfines to Playa Maroma and Playa Tortugas which are further afield. At Chichen Itza you can experience seeing one of the new seven wonders of the world and Mexico’s most famous and impressive Mayan Ruins. Alternatively, the town of Tulum offers the opportunity to visit the well-preserved ruins of a Mayan port city.

Day 4
Depart Cancun

You will be transferred to the airport to depart for your next destination....or stay for longer, more nights an activities can be added.
