Day 1
Ushuaia

Arrive any time today in Ushuaia, a port at the end of South America. Ushuaia is a fantastic gateway to explore the very end of Patagonia.

Overnight in Ushuaia.

Day 2
Ushuaia - Embarkation Day

Free morning to enjoy Ushuaia at leisure. Boarding your ship in the afternoon, you will soon set sail for Antarctica through the Beagle Channel

Day 3-4
Crossing the Drake Passage

Travelling to Antarctica we will first travel through the Drake passage; this crossing can be potentially rough, but we are always hopeful for a smooth journey, it is all part of the adventure! Get to know your fellow travellers & expedition team with lectures held on what lies ahead.

Day 5-8
South Shetland Islands Antarctic Peninsula

Now the adventure begins! Be wowed at your first sight of icebergs and an abundance of wildlife in its natural environment. You will appreciate why this region has captivated the attention of explorers & travellers alike.
Daily zodiac excursions will be enjoyed from the ship to explore local bays, channels & landing sites. You will walk in the Antarctic landscape and perhaps visit a research station. With wildlife always at the forefront of our minds, you will visit penguin rookeries, scout for humpback & minke whales, and search for a number of southern seal species, including the cunning leopard seal.


Day 9-10
Crossing the Drake Passage

Travelling back to Ushuaia through the Drake Passage, keep a look out for sea birds. Spend time with your new found friends, reminiscing about the wonderful things you have seen and experienced on your voyage to Antarctica.

Day 11
Ushuaia

Arrive in the morning & disembark.

Important Reminder: Embrace the unexpected! This adds to the excitement of your Antarctic expedition. There are no guarantees that we can achieve all we set out to accomplish. A measure of flexibility is something you must bring along on your voyage. The weather, ice and sea conditions are notoriously changeable in Antarctica. There are nearly 200 recognised sites on the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland islands. On occasion the places mentioned need to be changed to something equally interesting.
