Marrakech is a vibrant and enchanting city located in western Morocco. Known as the "Red City" due to the terracotta-colored walls that surround its historic center, Marrakech is a captivating blend of ancient traditions and modern influences. It is a city that stimulates the senses, with its bustling souks, stunning architecture, aromatic spices, and lively atmosphere.

Lunch will be at your leisure and dependent on your arrival time, but your guide can give you some local recommendations. Spend the afternoon at leisure to get settled in.

Day 2

After breakfast at your hotel, head out for a jam-packed day of sightseeing in Marrakech! Visit the Koutoubia Mosque (the iconic sight of Marrakech), the Bahia Palace (a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture), and the Saadian tombs (an ornate resting place).

Afterwards, head to the medina for lunch, followed by afternoon visits of the medina and the souks. Delve into the myriad pathways of the Souk (which refers to the markets). The markets of Marrakech are located in a serpentine set of alleyways which your expert guide will lead you through. These vibrant markets are a treasure trove of goods, from beautifully crafted ceramics and intricate metalwork to colorful textiles and traditional Moroccan carpets. Exploring the souks is an adventure in itself, as you navigate through a maze of narrow alleys, haggling with friendly shopkeepers to find unique souvenirs or immerse yourself in the local fashion and design scene.

In the evening, visit the famous Djemaa el Fna square located in the heart of Marrakech's medina, a bustling square that truly comes alive as the sun sets.

Here, you'll witness a vibrant spectacle of street performers, snake charmers, henna artists, musicians, and storytellers. The air fills with the enticing aroma of grilled meats and spices as food stalls set up for the evening, offering a variety of traditional Moroccan delicacies.

Browse the stalls where juice vendors sell fruit juice of every flavor imaginable, and wander among the food stalls serving steaming tagines, roasted meats, and more. Dinner tonight is at your leisure, and if you choose to dine in the square, listen for the storytellers and musicians that perform there.

Take in the beauty of the gardens and museums before enjoying lunch at your leisure.

In the afternoon, roll up your sleeves for an immersive and fun cooking experience! Accompanied by a local “dada”, or expert cook, dig into all of the key components of a Moroccan meal, starting with how to prepare the famous Moroccan mint tea and bread.
