Day 1
Maun Okavango Delta

On arrival into Maun Airport after clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you will proceed to the arrivals hall where you will be met by a representative from Helicopter Horizons who will assist you onto your Helicopter flight to Atzaro Okavango Camp.

On arrival, you will be met by guide from the camp and driven the short distance to the camp where you will stay for 3 nights.

Okavango Delta

At Atzaro Okavango, you'll be able to experience year-round sightings of iconic African wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, lechwe, and hippo.

Walking Safaris
Awaken your senses and discover all that the bush has to offer when taking part in a walking safaris. Guided walking safaris are for guests 16 years and older and are led by our qualified and passionate walking guides who share their knowledge and love of the bush.

With the dry vegetation between May and October, walking safaris are a fantastic and exciting way to experience the area. Since your safety is our first priority, walking safaris are usually conducted when the bush is not too thick and our guides are armed at all times.

Mokoro Excursions
No activity is more synonymous with the Okavango Delta than a mokoro trip. Glide silently along the hippo highways and elephant byways of the ancient Khwai River, historically, the only form of transport of the River Bushmen. Explore this unique inland delta deserving of its World Heritage Site status. Traditionally, fashioned out of a single tree trunk today, mokoro or dugout canoe are fibreglass as a measure to preserve Botswana’s hardwood forests.

Situated in the northwestern corner of Botswana, the Okavango Delta is a World Heritage Site as it is the largest inland delta in the world. The magnificent Okavango River sprawls out over the dry sands of the Kalahari Desert forming this flourishing waterlogged oasis featuring countless meandering waterways and crystal clear lagoons studded with water lilies, as well as fertile floodplains and reeded islands inhabited with abundant wildlife. The Okavango Delta stretches over an impressive15000 square kilometres. Visitors can enjoy a number of wonderful activities such as game viewing, fishing, bird watching or taking an authentic guided Mokoro excursion through this wetland paradise in a traditional dugout canoe. Day 4
Okavango Delta Khwai

Today you will fly with by Helicopter from Atzaro to Khwai Leadwood Camp. On arrival, you will be met by your guide from Khwai Leadwood Camp who will then transfer you the short distance to the camp where you will to stay for 3 nights.

Nestled in the Khwai Community Concession, Khwai Leadwood is set in a prime location along the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve - the Okavango Delta's oldest protected region. The Experience is enveloped under a canopy of trees right next to the Khwai River, which acts as a natural boundary between the renowned reserve and the exclusive concession. From your own private viewing deck, witness impressive wildlife encounters as elephants, hippos, and many other inhabitants traverse the river, offering a captivating backdrop for observation.

Khwai

Working together with the communities around the areas we operate in gives locals an opportunity to be self-sustainable, by sharing knowledge there has been a decrease in the human-wildlife conflict. Take the opportunity to visit the locals and become accustomed to their way of life.

Situated on the banks of the Khwai River near the famous Okavango swamp, the village of Khwai is set in the North-West District of Botswana. The village fringes the magnificent Moremi Game Reserve which is known for its incredible array of wildlife. It serves as a gateway to the reserve as it is set just outside the North Gate. of Moremi. Khwai provides an excellent base from which to explore the spectacularly scenic surrounding area. It is to be home to some of Botswana's most beautiful landscapes which feature vast grass plains, a patchwork of lagoons, shallow pans and lush woodland forests. Visitor can look forward to spotting a fantastic variety of wildlife, learning about the San community and enjoying a wide selection of ecotourism activities. Commonly spotted wildlife species include: lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, hippo, wild dog and buffalo.

Day 7
Khwai Linyanti

The Lodge team will confirm your departure time from lodge today for your Helicopter flight to Linyanti Bushcamp. On arrival you will be met by your guide from Linyanti Camp who will transfer you the short distance to the Camp where you will stay for 3-nights.

Situated within our private concession on the border of Chobe National Park, Linyanti Bush Camp stands as a premier safari destination in an area that boasts one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife. Among splendid scenery of untouched lands, encounter a high density of predators, large herds of elephants, healthy populations of endangered wild dogs, and thriving birdlife.

At Linyanti Bush Camp, embark on remarkable game drives and walking safaris. Linyanti

Options include game drives, walking safaris, mokoro - Our private concessions allow for game drives after the sun has set. Experience the bush when elusive nocturnal wildlife awakens to hunt, forage and live their lives under the cover of darkness.

Situated in Northern Botswana bordering the Chobe National Park, the Linyanti Concessions stretch across the Kwando-Linyanti river system. They are known for their exotic animal species and luxury safari options. An abundance of wildlife roams freely between the woodland habitats, ancient floodplains and forests that make up these lush, unfenced reserves. The big game in this area increases dramatically during the dry season when the area hosts large herds of impala, blue wildebeest, giraffe and buffalo as well as the world’s highest density of elephant. Several packs of wild dog are found in the area and lion, leopard and cheetah are frequently sighted. Night drives allow for the discovery of nocturnal creatures such as civets, genets, honey badgers and spring hares. Linyanti Victoria Falls (Zambia)

The Lodge team will confirm your departure time from the lodge today for your seat in charter flight on Wilderness Air to Kasane Airport. On arrival you will be met by a driver who will then transfer you to Thorntree River Lodge where you will stay for 3-nights.

Thorntree River Lodge is situated along the picturesque banks of Zambia’s Zambezi River, nestled within Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. The legendary Victoria Falls, Mosi-Oa-Tunya or otherwise known as the Smoke that Thunders. Enjoy the splendour and magnitude of one of the Natural Wonders of the World. After the rains, experience Victoria Falls in all her glory and when the Falls are dry, marvel at the rock formation

Canoeing
Accompanied by your River guide, enjoy a canoe safari. Take a relaxed paddle through the water and experience elephants trekking through from one side to the other and a new vantage point.

Sunset River Cruise
Encapsulating the essence of Africa, a cruise down Zambia’s glorious Zambezi River at sunset offers wonderful African wildlife sightings in an incredibly romantic setting.

We have our own boats, for maximum flexibility and freedom to take in the breathtaking sunsets from the river.

Cultural Village Visit
The African Bush Camps Foundation works with the local communities with the goal of community upliftment through tourism by creating long-lasting positive impact. In Livingstone, we have partnered with the Maunga Community and together have identified two focus areas; building a much needed clinic building and providing scholarships to children who are in need and show potential in the classroom. Spend half a day visiting this community during your stay at Thorntree River Lodge and see the impact of the Foundations work.

Fishing
Spend the day cruising the water and taking in the gorgeous views. Try your hand at fishing for tiger, bream (tilapia) or vundu to be caught and then released.

Visit to Livingstone Museum
The excellent Livingstone Museum is divided into five sections covering archaeology, history, ethnography, natural history and art, and is highlighted by Tonga ritual artefacts, a life-sized model African village, a collection of David Livingstone memorabilia and historic maps dating back to 1690.

Rhino Experience in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is home to the extremely rare and endangered white rhino who are under 24-hour protection by the rangers. At Thorntree River Lodge you’ll get the unique opportunity to see these incredible animals up close on a short walking safari.

Birding
