About me

I've always been that person with a suitcase in hand, ready for the next adventure. Growing up in Germany as a great starting point to explore Europe gave me a taste for travel, but it was my time in Australia and New Zealand after school that really lit the travel spark in me. Africa stole my heart during a trip to South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Encountering wild animals and seeing beautiful landscapes is just amazing.

After my studies, I was itching to hit the road again. This time, South and Central America were calling my name. Five epic months in Colombia, Costa Rica, and Panama opened my eyes to a whole new world of culture, nature, and incredible people. Hiking through Colombia's jungles to find the Lost City or visiting the Coffee zone were just some highlights in Colombia.

New Zealand always captured my heart during my travels, and now I'm thrilled to be living in New Zealand and working here at Viva.

My favourite travel memory

Where do I even begin? Sailing from Panama to Colombia through the San Blas Islands was like stepping into a postcard. Crystal-clear waters, palm-fringed islands – it was paradise. Then there was that unforgettable night in Moremi National Park in Botswana. Sitting around a bonfire, swapping stories with friends, when suddenly, a massive elephant strolls by to observe us! I will never forget this moment. I could go on and on, especially with many different animal encounters during game drives…

Where I want to go next

My bucket list just keeps growing. My next trip is probably going to be within New Zealand to explore my new chosen home a little bit more. But I also can’t wait to go back to Latin America after my last trip. Maybe this time Guatemala, Nicaragua and Mexico?
