Day 1
Buenos Aires


Buenos Aires
On arrival into Buenos Aires you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Buenos Aires, Argentina’s elegant, historic and cosmopolitan capital, is known as the “Paris of the South” due to its European atmosphere with glamorous avenues lined with fashionable shops and Parisian-style restaurants and cafes.

Day 2
Buenos Aires

Today you have the option of exploring Buenos Aires by regular bus or for the more adventurous, by bicycle (please advise your preference at the time of booking). You will visit many of the highlights that Buenos Aires has to offer including San Telmo, Plaza de Mayo, La Boca, the old docks etc.
Afternoon is at leisure before your evening Dinner & Tango show.

Day 3
Buenos Aires Iguazu

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Iguazu. (Flight Included).
Today we see the falls from the Brazilian side of the border. After arriving at the visitor center, we board buses for a tour of the park. Equipped with panoramic windows, the buses are designed to maximize your views of the falls, while the walkways and steps allow you to get up close to the spray
*Optional - Add on a visit to the Bird Park, or why not book an amazing helicopter flight over the falls. Additional costs apply. Please ask for more details.
At the end of your tour you will be transferred to your hotel.
The spectacular Iguazu Falls that straddle the Argentine-Brazil border, are made up of 275 individual waterfalls lining a 2.7km wide horseshoe-shaped gorge.

Day 4
Iguazu

In the early morning we will visit the Iguazu Falls on the Argentinian side. We will ride the Rainforest Ecological train and then explore panoramic views from above and below the waterfalls. We will visit the Devils Falls, which is said to be one of the most spectacular falls and you have the option of taking a boat ride under the Falls (additional costs apply. Payable locally). National Park fees included.

Day 5
Iguazu Salta

Transfer to the airport for your outward flight from Iguazu.(Flight Included).
On arrival into Salta airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Salta is a provincial capital in the mountainous north western part of Argentina. Founded in 1582, it is known for its Spanish colonial architecture and cobblestone streets as well as its Andean heritage.
This afternoon enjoy a half day city tour of Salta. Our tour takes in the main highlights of the city, such as the excellent MAAM (entrance fee not included), a museum built to house the mummified remains of three sacrificed Inca children found on a nearby mountain top.

Day 6
Salta Cafayate

We set out from Salta travelling south to El Carril and entering the Laurel and Escoipe Gorges. From here we head up the Cuesta del Obispo, enjoying stunning views of the Enchanted Valley below before reaching the Mill Stone. At 3,384 meters, this is the highest point of the trip. From here we cross the Los Cardones National Park, named after the cactus plants that grow here before stopping at the charming mountain town of Cachi.
We continue along Route 40 to arrive in the sleepy town of Cafayate where we spend the night.

Day 7
Cafayate Salta

We begin this morning with a tour of Cafayate before boarding the bus for our return journey. This time we follow Route 68 traversing the Quebrada de las Conchas (Valley of Shells), where erosion caused by wind and water has carved various recognisable shapes out of the bright red rock.

Salta Tupiza

Bus trip from Salta to the border with Bolivia at La Quiaca.
Note : You will be required to complete immigration authorities independently & walk in to Bolivia where you will be met & transferred to the peaceful town of Tupiza.

Day 9
Tupiza Uyuni

After breakfast, we travel to Uyuni through the Mining Center Atocha and crossing the amazing lands of the high plateau visit on the way the cemetery of old trains to finally arrive to the nice town of Uyuni

Day 10
Uyuni

Today you will visit Villamar village via the train cemetery, San Cristobal with colonial church and the villages of Culpina K and Alota, also visit the Valley of the Rocks with interesting shapes due to the wind erosion. Then arrive to Villamar. Visit to the cave paintings of Tomás Lakjas. Included: Lunch and dinner

Day 11
Uyuni

Early departure to Laguna Colorada, to see the famous James Flamingos, unique in its species, see also how the colour change in the Lagoon until it reaches the red colour. Then continue to Sol de Mañana Geysers, going through the water spring and to Laguna Verde, at the edge of the Llicancahur Volcano. Road trip north to Colchani. After dinner, stroll near the hotel. Included: Lunch and dinner

Day 12
Uyuni La Paz

Enter to the Great Uyuni Salat flats, stopping along the way in Ojos de agua and watching on the way the locals extracting salt; trip until Incahuasi Island (also known as Fish Island) where it will be possible to see the famous Giants Cactus. Then go north to the foothills of Thunupa Volcano to visit Pucara Ayque and admire the pre-colonial ruins and ancient mummies. Late afternoon, return to Uyuni airport to take flight to La Paz. (Flight Included). Upon arrival in to La Paz, you will be met & transferred to your hotel. Included: Lunch in the middle of the salt flats

Day 13
La Paz Copacabana

Head north through the highlands, following the Andes Royal Range to Copacabana (3 ½ hours), a town on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Visit the famous Virgen Morena and its church, Then take a boat to the Island of the Sun (1 hour), enjoy a typical lunch “Aptapi” style. Hike for about 45 min to overnight in Ecolodge La Estancia

Day 14
Copacabana Puno

DON’T MISS AN EARLY SUNRISE!
Hike down through Yumani visiting the Inca stairs and the Water of the Eternal Youth. Then travel by boat to visit the Chincana ruins, the Sacred Rock, the Island of the Moon and the Inca ruins of Iñak Uyu temple. Finally travel from Copacabana to Puno by road, with a wonderful view of Lake Titicaca enroute

Day 15
Puno - Lake Titicaca

Enjoy a full day out on Lake Titicaca by boat. We explore a scenic and less touristy area of Taquile Island. Enjoy a pristine sandy beach where you will have plenty of time to relax and feel the serenity of Lake Titicaca. We then hike along a pre-Inca trail with spectacular landscapes of the island, visiting families of weavers to learn about their textile art and symbolism. We then journey to the community of Santa Maria-Llachon, on the tip of the Capachica Peninsula. This is a picturesque off the beaten track destination. We are welcomed by the small Quechua speaking community and introduced to an intensive cultural experience, observing the traditions of the community and participating in an ancient ceremony to learn about their magical world.
After lunch we head to a remote area of the National Reserve of Lake Titicaca to explore Uros Capi. These are considered to be the last authentic floating islands, less commercial and little visited. The Uros are descendants of one of the oldest cultures in South America.

Day 16
Puno Cusco

This morning you will be transferred to the bus station for your bus journey to Puno.
The spectacular bus journey from Puno to Cusco takes you across the Altiplano, through sleepy Andean villages and past spectacular snow-capped mountains, sheer cliffs and rampaging rivers. Stops along the way include the atmospheric towns of Pucara and Andahuaylillas and the pre-Inca ruin of Raqchi. Lunch is included
On arrival into Cusco, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 17
Cusco

Take a sightseeing tour through Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire. Visit the fascinating Qorikancha Temple of the Sun, the 12-Angled Rock and the Cathedral, built on the ruins of an Inca Palace. From here head to the archaeological remains located around the city, including the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo (giant rock), the ancient site of Puca Pucara and finally the Water Temple of Tambomachay.

Day 18
Sacred Valley Aguas Calientes

Today, explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This fertile river valley was home to many important sites for the Incas, both strategic and religious. We visit the village of Pisac, with its famous market. On market days Pisac comes alive with locals from nearby hillside villages in traditional dress selling local fruit and vegetables as well as handicrafts. Later we explore Ollantaytambo, which is dominated by a giant Inca fortress, and is perhaps the best surviving example of Inca town planning.

Day 19
Machu Picchu Cusco

Today you will be astonished at your first view of Machu Picchu, a stunning display of ancient architecture with incredible surroundings! Enjoy a guided tour of the ruins and monuments such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the Cemeteries.
Optional extra: Include a permit to climb Huayna Picchu.
Afternoon you will return to Cusco by train & road.
