Day 1
Lake Tarawera, Rotorua

Arrive at Solitaire lodge and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the onsite facilites which are all included during your stay, along with fine dining meals.

Day 2
Lake Tarawera, Rotorua

After your gourmet breakfast you will take a guided hike to Tarawera falls. Starting with a short speedboat transfer to the trout laden Tarawera outlet stream which is the starting point of the hike. The beautiful hike leads to a spectacular 200-foot-high waterfall. Along the way walk through native bush of Pohutukawa and Rata trees with native bird sounds of Tuis, Fantails and Kereru. You will have a picnic lunch and an opportunity to swim in the many swimming holes. Return transfer to the lodge is included. You have the afternoon at leisure, where its recommended you kayak along the lake and enjoy the dramatic setting. Optional suggestion for today - add on a tour to explore Mount Tarawera by 4WD or helicopter.

Day 3
Lake Tarawera, Rotorua Depart

Head out early for a thermal soak at Tarawera Thermal Springs and enjoy soaking in the
thermal waters rising gently through the lake bed as the morning sun filters through native bush. Return just in time for breakfast and checkout. Before leaving Rotarua we recommend you take a guided hike to Tarawera Falls or if you have more time you could explore the thermal region by guided bike tour or a guided rainbow trout fishing excursion
