Day 1
Mexico City

Mexico City lies in the heart of Central Mexico, is the capital of Mexico and the oldest capital in the Americas. It has a rich history and colourful culture.
Arrive any time & transfer to your hotel.

Day 2
Mexico City Tour Includes Museum of Anthropology

Embark on our magnificent Mexico City small group tour. Mexico City is, built on top of the ruins of the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan. Our first stop is the Zocalo (main square), one of the largest public squares in the world. We will visit the Catedral Metropolitana – the largest church in Latin America and the Palacio Nacional, which hosts Diego Rivera’s murals depicting the history of Mexico. We continue to a handicraft market, where we will have time for some browsing. We then drive along the famous boulevard Paseo de la Reforma, built during the short-lived reign of Emperor Maximilian to connect the main square and his castle in Chapultepec. Our last stop is the Museum of Anthropology, where we will have time to explore the treasures of the Aztec culture.

Day 3
Teotihuacan Pyramids & Guadalupe Shrine

Today join our half day small shared Mexico City Tour. Visit the impressive archaeological site of Teotihuacan, located 50km northeast of Mexico City, stopping on the way at the “Plaza de las Tres Culturas”, where three cultures converge: Aztec, Spanish, and contemporary Mexican. Continue to the Shrine de Guadalupe, Latin America’s most revered religious shrine. It is here where the Virgin of Guadalupe is said to have appeared before an Indian named Juan Diego in 1531, and an image of her was miraculously emblazoned on his cloak. There is time to explore the New Basilica de Guadalupe (the Old Basilica, built in 1700, is slowly sinking) and to see Juan Diego’s cloak. We continue to Teotihuacan, one of the most impressive cities of the ancient world, held sacred by the Aztecs. Explore its temples, palaces and pyramids, including the Quetzalpapalotl Palace, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the immense Pyramid of the Sun, ranked among the biggest in the world. Shrine of Guadalupe not available to visit on December 11th and 12th. On completion of your tour, return to Mexico City and you will be taken to your hotel. Overnight Mexico City

Mexico City Oaxaca

After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel & transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Oaxaca. Upon arrival you be met & transferred to your hotel.

Day 5
Mitla Archeological Site and Tule Tree

Today our small group tour takes us to the ''Arbol del Tule'', one of the world’s largest trees, and thought to be over 2000 years. We continue to the archaeological site of Mitla, located 46km southeast of Oaxaca. Mitla was an important Zapotec city after the decline of Monte Alban, and it was later occupied by the Mixtecs. Many of Mitla’s temples were destroyed by the Spanish, and the stones were used to build the Iglesia de San Pablo, the Catholic church that dominates the site. We will explore the beautiful buildings with their unique geometric stone mosaics, and the church in their midst. On return to Oaxaca a stop is made at a distillery for mezcal tasting and to watch the elaboration process.

Day 6
Monte Alban

Monte Alban, a World Heritage Site, is spectacularly situated on a mountain 400 meters above the Oaxaca Valley, a few kilometers west of Oaxaca. Monte Alban is the greatest of the Zapotec cities, and it came to dominate the cultural, religious, and economic life of the region. It is also a triumph of engineering; the mountain top was leveled to allow for the creation of the ceremonial site. We will explore the Gran Plaza, the Ball Court, the Observatory, the Palace, and other beautiful structures.

Day 7
Oaxaca Huatulco

Today we take you to the lovely beaches of Huatulco.
Huatulco, located south of Oaxaca, covers a long stretch of Pacific coastline carved into nine beautiful bays. The coastal terrain here is shaped by the southern Sierra Madre mountains meeting the Pacific Ocean, creating tranquil bays and coves with scores of charming crescent-shaped beaches embraced by verdant cliffs and lapped by crystalline blue-green waters. Many of the beaches are only accessible by private boat. If you seek pristine natural surroundings along with the comforts of world-class accommodation, then Huatulco is the place for you.
