Day 1

Upon arrival in Honduras airport you will be met & transferred to Copán.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980, Copán was one of the ancient Maya's most lavish cultural centres. It's a detailed work of art and is particularly well-known for its beautifully carved stelae. For the best experience, tour Copán with an experienced guide who can bring the ruins to life. The site is located just 60 km east of the Guatemalan border and sits in a pristine river valley near the town of Copán Ruinas. Here, you'll find cobblestone streets, a picturesque plaza, and a smattering of good hotels and restaurants. Not far from town, you can also visit coffee and cardamom farms, as well as the Macaw Mountain Bird Reserve & Nature Park.

Day 2

Today, you'll travel to the Copán archaeological site for a privately guided, three-hour tour. Afterwards, you'll lunch in Copán Ruinas before heading to the Macaw Mountain Bird Park that cares for rescued and endangered tropical birds like scarlet macaws and keel-billed toucans.

Day 3

This morning, you'll set out on a full-day excursion to the family-owned Finca El Cisne farm. Enjoy the hospitality of the Castejon family, where your host Carlos guides you on an easy horseback ride to explore the local land and the beautiful scenery of the Copán Valley. A hearty farmhouse lunch, prepared by Carlos' mother will let you taste a variety of regionally grown ingredients. In the afternoon, you will learn about the farm's cardamom and shade-grown coffee plantations and about cattle ranching, which provides the farm with meat and dairy. Upon your return to Copán, you'll stop for a quick dip in the local hot springs.

Day 4
Copán Pico Bonito National Park

Today you will be transferred to Pico Bonito National Park. Rugged and isolated, Pico Bonito is home to cloud forests, dense jungles, dry lowland regions, several rivers and exceptional wildlife. Tonight you can enjoy a guided nocturnal walk through the forest from 7-9 pm looking for night creatures. You may see wildlife such as kinkajous, snakes, toads, frogs, owls, spiders and insects of many varieties.

Day 5
Pico Bonito National Park Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge

Named for two rivers that feed this estuarine mangrove forest wildlife refuge, the Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge is famous for its abundant wildlife and birding opportunities. Your trip into the refuge starts on a narrow gauge rail car that takes you to the river's edge. From here, motorised skiffs and canoes are available for guided tours through the complex of estuaries and mangrove forests where you might see howler and white-faced monkeys, iguanas, alligators, dozens of species of birds, and with a little luck, manatees!

Day 6
Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge La Ceiba

You will be transferred from your hotel to the coast at La Ceiba where you take a ferry for a one hour trip to the virgin white beaches of Cayos Cochinos. The trip offers beautiful views as you look back at the mainland with the magnificent 'Gracias a Dios' mountain range towering in the distance. Coral reefs with incredible marine life and pristine sandy beaches makes this archipelago of 13 cays a "must see" on the Honduran North Coast. You will enjoy a tour of the islands and time for snorkelling while taking in the incredible tranquility of this marine biology reserve.

Day 7
La Ceiba San Pedro Sula

Today you will be picked up & transferred to San Pedro Sula International Airport.
