Day 1

Upon arrival to Guatemala City International Airport you will be met & transferred to Antigua.
Founded in the sixteenth century, Antigua is a cosmopolitan destination with a rich colonial past. Its cobblestone streets are lined with pretty, pastel-hued homes, luxurious boutique hotels, and an exceptional selection of smart restaurants and shops. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, the city of 35,000 people sits in a valley between coffee farms, indigenous villages and three imposing volcanoes. At the heart of town is the parque central, a European-style plaza busy with shoe-shiners, ice cream vendors, families and tourists. During its architectural peak, Antigua was home to dozens of colonial monuments, churches and monasteries, but an earthquake in 1773 damaged or reduced most to rubble. In the centuries thereafter, efforts were made to rebuild and restore, and the city today is filled with melancholic, yet gorgeous relics and ruins.

Day 2

Today you can choose one of these three tours:
Antigua Streets & Eats Tour - combines the robust flavours of Antigua's street food with this colonial city's colourful traditions and culture. During the guided tour you may sample delicious, authentic Guatemalan cuisine. The guide will describe the cultural background of these everyday delicacies and lead you through Antigua's bustling community market.

DLG fairly traded coffee tour with lunch - takes you to visit some of the families supported by DLG charity organisation where you can work side-by-side with small coffee farmers. After the coffee tour guests have a simple, traditional meal in a local home before transferring back to Antigua, to set off on their half-day walking tour of Antigua.
Pacaya volcano hike with picnic tour - starts with a morning transfer to the foothills of the active Pacaya volcano. On the hike you can enjoy great views of the northern volcanoes, the Pacific lowlands and all the way to El Salvador. You will stop to enjoy a picnic lunch with the impressive volcano in close sight.
