In-depth Antarctica & Patagonia - Northbound
Join us on this in depth expedition cruise exploring Antarctica, Patagonia and the Chilean Fjords. Witness the stunning nature beauty of Patagonia and magical Antarctica over 23 days, and in one exciting voyage.
Your cruise will see you spending eight days in Antarctica in the late summer season. That is 8 full days to really experience the wonders of the white continent, time for beautiful sunsets tinting the icescapes in wonderful colours. Time to land and walk ashore, time to watch the amazing wildlife including adolescent penguin chicks finishing moulting into their adult plumage. Time for zodiac cruising to view glaciers, and it is also the best season for whale-watching when larger numbers and different species come to feed on krill. Your experienced expedition team will be your guides on landings, ice-cruising and optional activities, bringing you closer to Antarctica’s scenery and wildlife in this true wilderness.
Then after heading north across the Drake Passage, we arrive and attempt to land at the infamous Cape Horn! Then cruise the stunning waterways and canals of the Chilean fjords. We call in at Puerto Natales, gateway to Torres del Paine National Park, tiny villages like Puerto Eden, home to the last members of the Kaweskar people, and Castro, known for its colourful houses built on stilts over the water. After experiencing fabled Patagonia we return to the colourful port city of Valparaíso where our exploration ends.
