This North Spitsbergen cruise begins with a walk through Longyearbyen, a historic settlement on the island, and continues on to Raudfjorden, a large fjord on the north shore of Spitsbergen that is bursting at the seams with glaciers. Travel on to the massive Monaco Glacier, and a popular area for the polar bear. Look out for reindeer, arctic fox, pink-footed geese, and walruses, and marvel at the bird cliffs in Hinlope, perhaps even spot blue whale!
The Seven Islands are the next stop on your journey, and they are where you will get the closest to the North Pole. Keep cruising through the icy arctic waters, always with a sharp eye out for polar bears and the elusive bowhead whales. Before heading back to Longyearbyen, we might visit beautiful areas like Forlandsundet and St. Johns Fjord, depending on where the weather takes us.
