 Newest Lounges and Transit Hotel

Four new airport lounges opened at Rio de Janeiro’s Tom Jobim International Airport. Plaza Premium Group offers new lounges for Domestic Departures, International Departures and Arrivals as well as soon to be opened Aerotel, an airport transit hotel. The fourth lounge has been opened by Star Alliance for International Departures.

Plaza Premium Lounge for Domestic Departures is located on Level 1 in Terminal 2 and offers 220 seats for travellers to rest in spacious and comfortable environment with vast selection of food and beverage, recharging station, Wi-Fi and shower facilities. It is open during the day from 07:00 to 22:00 daily.

A new lounge for International departures is situated on Level 3 in Terminal 2, where travellers can enjoy fantastic services and facilities, such as wide selection of food and beverage, Wi-Fi, TV channels, shower and comfortable seating. This is a perfect place to rest before international flights. The opening hours for this lounge are 03:00-02:00 daily.

Plaza Premium Lounge for Arrivals is located in the non-restricted area on Level 1 in Terminal 2, close to the car park building. It is open 24 hours daily and offers shower rooms, Wi-Fi, private resting area, meeting room and food & beverage.

Star Alliance newest lounge in the Rio de Janeiro Airport is located on level 3 of the new International Departures pier. The lounge offers beautiful views across the airport and famous landmarks of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer. The lounge is open 24/7 and includes all the necessary facilities to relax before the flight.

For people who have a longer stay at the airport the perfect place to rest and refresh is at the Aerotel, an airport transit hotel located on Level 3 in Terminal 2. The rooms are well-equipped with showers, Wi-Fi, TV and wake-up call services as well as comfortable beds.
